A beautiful estate sapphire and diamond ring! Made of 18ct white gold, the timeless design features one natural blue sapphire at the centre with three small diamonds down each shoulder. The stunning step-cut sapphire displays a vivid and intense blue hue with a subtle hint of mauve, it measures 4.90mm x 5.35mm, and weight estimation is approximately 0.80 carats. Twinkling down each shoulder are three little single-cut diamonds of approximately 0.015 carats each. The classic design features a bit of a twist with the diamonds sitting upon the shoulder in individual four claw collets, starting at the top of the upswept shoulder and interspaced down the band. The raised sapphire rests in a four double claw collet setting with open undercarriage, allowing maximum light to filter in and reflect from the table of the sapphire. A flat profile shank measuring 2.60mm wide makes of the rest of the ring. Sleek and timeless!
The ring measures M & 1/2 (Aus, UK) or 6 & 1/2 (USA) finger size, and is resizable to a degree.

The overall condition of the estate ring is very good. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold, claws or stones, which all appear secure in the setting. The sapphire has a little bit of facet edge wear which is typical, albeit only sighted under magnification. A wonderful estate ring! |
