A timeless sapphire cluster ring from the mid 20th century! This beautiful ring is crafted in 8ct rose gold and silver top. At the center is a gorgeous natural Sapphire which is a faceted rectangle native cut weighing approximately 1.79 carats. The Australian type sapphire displays a lovely dark greenish blue colour indicative of Queensland material. A border of twelve dazzling white sapphires complements and gives nice contrast to the dark sapphire. There is wonderful hand-pierced workmanship to the undercarriage of the tiered cluster, and raised openwork shoulders adding further style and detail to this fabulous ring. No stamps are sighted to the ring, tests indicate approximately 8ct gold and silver.

Finger size of the ring measures 'O & 1/2' (Aus/UK) or '7 & 1/2' (USA).

The ring exudes elegant classicism... and is a design reminiscent with one of the most famous engagement rings in history; Princess Diana's ring

Mid 20th century, c1940 - c1960

The ring presents in very good condition. There are some small nibbles to the stones (indicative of age) which is only visible under magnification. All stones appear secure in their settings, none are loose. There is some light surface wear to the gold, though relatively still bright with no structural damage
