This nephrite jade brooch dates back to late Victorian era- circa 1890. The nephrite jade is fashioned into an elongated half round shape, it is the lovely spinach green shade with some lighter 'mottled' like inclusions. The 9ct yellow gold custom crafted ends are ornately decorated with what appears to be hearts ..... and attention to detail is evident with the manufacture!
The ends are not stamped, however have been tested as 9ct gold.
Pin back and 'C' loop are attached on the back- pin looks to be brass, there is also a gold coloured safety chain for extra security.
The total length of bar brooch measures 42.90mm.
