A beautiful gemstone 'DEAREST' ring from the late 20th century, c1980! The ring is made of 9ct yellow and white gold - a white gold top where the gemstones are set and a yellow gold shank. This charming ring features a single row of colorful natural gemstones whose first letters spell out the word "DEAREST", alluding a romantic secret message to the wearer! The stones include a Diamond, Emerald, Amethyst, Ruby, a second Emerald, a Sapphire, and a Topaz, all bead set in a single row. All the gemstones are a faceted round-cut and rest in a 'beaded' white gold channel. The undercarriage of the ring has a gorgeous cut-out design... adding further charm to the ring! A cut-out scroll like design decorates each shoulder and forms into a smooth rounded shank.
Stamped inside the shank are several English hallmarks, including a London lion, a crown, "375," and the date letter "f" which dates the ring to the year 1980.
A wonderful sentimental ring which would make a perfect gift for someone special, and an ideal everyday ring ... stacked with others or worn alone!

The topaz does bear damage with a chipped table, albeit difficult to see to the naked eye. Otherwise this ring is in excellent condition with no other stone flaws, or mount wear. The gold mount presents in excellent condition, stones are securely set and white gold retains a nice sheen of rhodium. A wonderful vintage ring! |
