A fabulous ruby and diamond gemstone ring from the mid to late 20th century, c1970's! Crafted in gleaming 18ct yellow gold, this unique ring features striking upswept wirework to form claws securing the gemstones. The ring boasts two beautiful natural ruby stones which are placed end to end along the finger. The oval-cut rubies display pretty purplish mid-red hue's, and the estimated total weight is 1.06 carats. Six natural fine white diamonds dazzle either side of the rubies, the diamonds are also claw set in a neat triangular form. Additionally there is an open wire collet beneath each stone for extra support. The wirework tapers inward to little protruding bars where a smooth rounded shank makes up the rest of the ring. The ring bears an imported London mark and date letter stamp "C" (year 1977), as well "750" denoting 18ct gold.
Finger size of the ring measures 'M' (Aus) or '6 & 1/2' (USA), resizable to a degree.
A wonderful vintage gemstone ring, perfect for any ruby lover!
