A beautiful garnet cluster ring from the Edwardian era, c1912! Made of 9ct rose gold, this gorgeous ring boasts a cluster of juicy red garnet stones. The natural garnets display bright deep red hue's indicative of the lovely Pyrope garnet from Bohemia, Czech Republic. A larger faceted oval garnet rests at the center surrounded by a halo of faceted round cut garnets. All stones are resting flush in a beaded design with the oval cluster resting on a split robust shank. The design sits low to the finger giving a comfortable glove like fit. Small indents accent the base of each shoulder - three indents to one side and one indent to opposite side, with the small asymmetry flaw not detracting from the gorgeous design whilst on the finger.
Inside the shank bears a crisp set of English hallmarks giving provenance and age to the ring; stamped "9" "375" "anchor" "n" denoting year 1912 and Birmingham origin, there is also another stamp which is likely the makers mark albeit difficult to decipher, possibly "J & R"?
The finger size of the ring measures 'O' (Aus/UK) or '7 & 1/4' (USA).
A wonderful antique garnet ring, perfect for any garnet lover!
